Jan Koura’s study wins Article of the Year Award in the Journal of Balkan and Near Eastern Studies

The Vasileois Fouskas and Bülente Gökay Best Article of the Year Award for 2025 has been awarded to Jan Koura from the Institute of History for his article In the Service of the Eastern Bloc: Czechoslovak Intelligence and the Cyprus Conflict 1974–1989.

Charles University launches a new English-taught Bachelor’s programme in Psychology

The Faculty of Arts, Charles University is launching a new Bachelor’s degree programme in Psychology, taught fully in English. This is the first fully accredited English-taught Bachelor’s programme in Psychology at a Czech public university, representing a significant milestone in the internationalisation of higher education in psychology in the Czech Republic.

CU FA and the Czech startup Moovez have developed a groundbreaking new method of language teaching inspired by children

The research team headed by dr. Kateřina Chládková from the Institute of Czech Language and Theory of Communication at CU FA, in close cooperation with Ing. Miroslav Pešta, head of the Moovez team, have developed a unique method of natural language teaching, which they are now implementing into the mobile app of the Moovez educational startup.

Agreement with the German Historical Institute in Warsaw launches cooperation in research into the history of Central and Eastern Europe

The first drill takes place on Wednesday, 26. 11. 2025, at the Sweerts-Sporck Palace, starting at 10:00 AM. The second drill will take place a week later, on Wednesday, 3. 12. 2025, also starting at 10:00 AM, in the main CU FA building at Jan Palach Square.
